Musings

I write when I have no physical access to my studio. It is often a fast release of ideas that well up on the moment like a fountain. Colours become words. With the passing of time, they have found their way into my work in the shape of artist books.

Sometimes the writings have served as a tool to work through demanding situations. Others are totally different in character: whimsical absurdities never cease to catch my attention and are translated into narration or poems that have humor and touch upon the lighter side of life.

Vivid childhood memories from Puerto Rico and Paris in the early 60’s have followed me everywhere and come back in different ways to inhabit my art and writings.
